Lab Facilities: CD-ROMs

Some of our CD-ROMS are on a remote server, while others, to comply
with license agreements, are only available on request to run on one
machine. Among the mose important are the following:
- The Thesaurus Linguae Graecae, which includes all extant
Greek literature through lage antiquity. Most items are in Greek; a
few are in Latin. PC software from Silver Moutain facilitates display
and printing of Greek.
- The Packard Humanities Institute Latin texts and Bible versions
through c. 200 A.D. (Disk 5.3) Some Coptic sources are also included
on Disk 7, Greek Documentary Texts. PC Software from Silver Mountain
facilitates display and printing of Latin and Coptic.
- All the writings of Zarlino appear in facsimile and in searchable
encoded texts (with MIDI files, where apporpriate) on Frans Wiering's
debut CD-ROM for the Thesaurus Musicarum Italicarum.
- The Thesaurus Musicarum Latinarum CD-ROM, a compendium of
Latin writings on music theory organized and maintained by Thomas
J. Mathiesen, contains graphic files and copyrighted texts not
avaiable at its website. Ruth Steiner's CANTUS files are also
included on this CD-ROM.
